Glider pilots should be OK to visit on any flying day so long as you give a quick radio call on 130.125 (CURROCK BASE) to inform us of your intentions and that the current circuit pattern is flown.
Power pilots are only to visit with prior permission by ringing the club house (01207 561 286) on a Saturday, Sunday or Wednesday. Please make sure that you sign our "Visiting Pilots Book" which is situated in the club house. Currock Hill does lie within Newcastle Airports Control Zone so permission will have to be granted from there initially before entering. Also be aware that we run a winching operation with cables which can reach 2000 feet, so please do not overfly the field, joining instructions can be obtained over the radio by calling to confirm your intentions on 130.125 (CURROCK BASE).
Please use the Aerotow strip for landing on which faces 24/06. The threshold for runway 24 is adjacent the windsock.
